Quest Bridge Scholarship Program
Criteria: Junior and Seniors; must have demonstrated academic excellence in the face of economic obstacles. For more information go to www.questbridge.org
Award: Up to a full four-year scholarship.

Criteria: High school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary education facility. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. For more information please go to

Horatio Alger National and State Scholarships
Criteria: Full-time senior, intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution; perseverance in overcoming personal adversity; critical financial need (preferably $55,000 or lower adjusted gross income per family); involvement in co-curricular and community service activities; minimum GPA of 2.0; be a United States citizen. National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Criteria: Seniors enrolled in an accredited public or private secondary school; demonstrates good citizenship (dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism). Applications are in the counselling office.
Award: Recognition, $250-$5,000
Deadline: Must be submitted to the WHS counseling office by November 2, 2018
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
Criteria: grades 5-12; legal resident of one of the 50 states of the U.S.; has engaged in a volunteer activity. For an application go to http://spirit.prudential.com
Award: Recognition-$1,000 and a trip to Washington D.C.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week
Criteria: Seniors; We are now accepting applications to be nominated for "Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week" a program that recognizes top seniors where students may be featured on KSFY and receive a scholarship. Criteria: senior; works at HyVee and/or subsidiaries who began his/her employment on or before September 15, 2018; high school senior sons or daughters of full-, regular-, and part-time HyVee and subsidiary associates who have a minimum of six months employment with the company as of September 15, 2018; must be enrolling in college for the first time. South Dakota State DAR Scholarship for Military Descendants
Criteria: Any high school senior or student receiving an accredited high school diploma or GED, who plans to attend an institution of high learning, is a resident of South Dakota and is the direct descendant of a United States Military Veteran is Eligible. This includes legally adopted descendants. The term “Veteran” refers to former and current members of the United States Armed Forces, including members of the National Guard.
