Information in the counseling office or www.siouxvalleyenergy.com Award: $250-$1,000 Deadline: 4:30 pm, January 15, 2021 South Dakota Engineering Society Scholarship Criteria: Senior; plans to pursue a degree in engineering; plan to attend South Dakota State University or South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Schools of Engineering; have competitive ACT/SAT score, grades and demonstrate responsibility. This includes legally adopted descendants. The term “Veteran” refers to former and current members of the United States Armed Forces, including members of the National Guard. Award: $500 Deadline: February 13, 2020 Quinn Noel Scholarship Criteria: Must be a high school senior at Washington High School; must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A; must participate in at least one school related extra-curricular activity; must have a financial need; must plan to continue education at an accredited post-secondary school. The application is available in the counseling office. Award: $1,200 Deadline: March 11, 2021 Bellator Titans MC Scholarship Criteria: Seniors; South Dakota resident; Financial need; must attend any in state post-secondary institution. The application is available in the counseling office. Award: $1,500 Deadline: March 13, 2021 Blanch Irene Doolittle Scholarship Criteria: Seniors graduating from Sioux Falls High Schools; planning to enter college; based on GPA, financial need, extracurricular activities, abilities and character. Applications available in the counseling office. Award: To be determined Deadline: March 15, 2021 2019 Citi Youth Leadership Award Criteria: Senior in a Sioux Empire School; must have 100 hours of community service in the last twelve months. Applications are available in the counseling office or at helpinecenter.org/scholarship. Award: $1,000 (3) Deadline: March 31, 2021 First District Development Company Criteria: Be a US citizen, high school senior attending a SD High School, be accepted into a business/finance program at an accredited, post-secondary institution in SD, 3.5 or high GPA, and submit a completed application. Application is available in the counseling office. Award: $1,000 (5) Deadline: March 31, 2021 Resource Conservation Speech Contest Criteria: A South Dakota senior planning to attend a South Dakota college, university, or technical institute. Information and application are in the counseling office. Award: Up to $1,100 Deadline: March 27, 2021 SD Weed and Pest Conference Scholarship Criteria: Must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of South Dakota, a high school graduate, post-secondary student with an agriculture production, precision farming, agronomy or entomology field of study in a South Dakota College, University or Technical School. A 500-word essay on “Why do we need to take care of Noxious Weeds and how does that effect the agriculture economy?” The application is available in the counseling office. Award: $500 (or more) Deadline: April 2, 2021 College Board Opportunity Scholarships Criteria: The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is open to class of 2020 high school students in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories. There's no citizenship requirement. Class of 2021 students are eligible next year.
