Horatio Alger National and State Scholarships
Criteria: Full-time senior, graduating in spring/summer of 2013; intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution; perseverance in overcoming personal adversity; critical financial need (preferably $50,000 or lower adjusted gross income per family); involvement in co-curricular and community service activities; minimum GPA of 2.0; be a United States citizen. The BIG Idea Competition
Criteria: A competition to help foster entrepreneurship. All students interested can submit their business ideas or a new or innovative product or service for judging. For an application go to www.bigideasd.com

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Criteria: Seniors enrolled in an accredited public or private secondary school; demonstrates good citizenship (dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism). Applications are in the counselling office.
Award: Recognition, $250-$5,000
Deadline: Must be submitted to the WHS counseling office by November 1, 2017
DomCop Scholarship Program
Who can apply: This program is open to all University, College, and High school students who are currently enrolled in an educational program.

Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week
Criteria: Seniors; We are now accepting applications to be nominated for "Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week" a program that recognizes top seniors where students may be featured on KSFY and receive a scholarship.
