ENROLLING AT WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL
The process for registering a student for Washington High School is as follows:
1) The student's primary address must be in the WHS boundary.
2) Proof of address is required if enrolling from another district after the school year has started. (A copy of the rental agreement or utility bill with the Parent/Legal Guardian's name and address.)
3) A parent/legal guardian must come to the WHS counseling department to complete registration paperwork. The student's birth certificate and up-to-date immunization records are required, however, they can be requested from the previous school.
4) If the student has attended high school in a previous school, his/her transcripts/grades are needed.
5) Once all required registration paperwork is completed, an appointment with the student's counselor will be made to complete the enrollment process by setting up a class schedule.
Students who do not live in the WHS boundary, but wish to enroll at WHS, must first have their Parent/Legal Guardian complete an application for open enrollment. Forms are available at all high schools or the Instructional Planning Center at 201 East Thirty-Eighth Street, Sioux Falls.
